Many thanks to all 300+ of you who came today - a great turnout. Walesby is quite a challenging area to plan, given it's frequent use and high visibility in the parkland sections. I did my best to keep competitors on their toes, but ultimately significant dead running is to be expected at Walesby. I heard positive comments on the courses (and weather) which makes all the effort worthwhile.

Thanks in particular to those who supported the "chase" format and I very much enjoyed watching the close battles that were had out on the area. It seemed the handicaps weren't too bad on the whole, but I did perhaps harsh the older generations!

Thanks to Tony for his constructive controlling and for being very pragmatic in the short timescales that I left myself to plan.
